Life is precious!

╭✿╯Life goes by so quickly...

One day we feel great, and the next day, broken. This COVID period has taught us to appreciate the little things in life. Nothing is permanent. Nothing lasts forever.

Be thankful for life's blessings. Cherish those treasured moments in life. Be grateful for every precious moment you have to spend with family & loved ones. Life is precious. Moments pass soon and we'll wish we had treasured them more.

Family and loved ones are the life jacket in the stormy seas of life. Savour every moment with them for these moments are limited and fleeting.

As we start and end each day, let's take time to appreciate every little thing in our lives. We will soon realise how truly blessed we are.

God by my side

╭✿╯I've been through too much in this life with God by my side, not to worship, praise and thank Him for His FAITHFULNESS, LOVE, MERCY and GRACE!

Looking back over my life...
I've seen God's promises are true.
I've never been forsaken.
He's always seen me through.
He's always with me, wiping all my tears,
healing all my pain
and calming all my fears.

Having a ponderous & reflective day, today. Schools re-open tomorrow. Back to work tomorrow. What that's going to look like, I'll know for sure tomorrow.

On a different note...Lost my other 9ct gold hoop earring in the shop today. Sad.

Will have to start setting a trend of wearing one hoop earring. They are too costly to be constantly losing.

First coffee then remote teaching

╭✿╯Grabbing a quick coffee and some brekkie (cereal) before meeting online with my kiddie winks (students) in the next hour, (and all day) for our daily Remote Learning teaching sessions. I thoroughly enjoyed these remote learning sessions over the past 6 weeks, but feel that it's time to get back on track as we know it. All this remote learning will change next week, for some classes, when schools re-open for the lower grades & senior grades (Prep, Grade 1, Grade 2, Year 11, Year 12), then 2 weeks after that for the rest of the students. We will still be teaching remotely to students who are at home, but we'll be on-site (at school) doing this, while teaching the kiddie winks who are at school, as well. This is our "new normal".

Do you feel that?
That's called PURPOSE!
Your life has PURPOSE & MEANING.
God's purpose for your life is greater than any setback you'll ever go through.
He has a purpose for your struggles
and a reward for your faithfulness.
He's equipping & preparing you for His purpose.
Keep the faith!
Hang in there!
Don't give up!

Yep, I feel like being the lady in red today.

Schools open in a week's time.
I feel alive and energetic.
I can hardly wait for the new "normal" to begin.
I'll be seeing the kiddie winks again - now there's cause for celebration.
Cheers... to life slowly getting back to normal!

Bring on RED - symbolising action, courage, confidence, determination, drive, willpower, dedication, enthusiasm, tenacity, integrity, happiness, vibrance, love, strength, power, vitality, warmth, excitement, fiery, impulsivity & LIFE!

(and no, I hardly ever wear red... not a fave colour of mine.

The irony of life

╭✿╯A powerful poem (parts of which I removed) which I stumbled across and had to share... So much truth in these words...

'The irony of life:

So suddenly...

New York,
'the city that never sleeps'
is now asleep,
all quiet.

Paris,
the 'centre of romance'
lives in shadows and echoes.

Rome,
'the eternal city'
is deserted.

Disney is out of magic.

London is caged in silence.

Mecca is empty.

The Chinese wall is no longer a fortress.

The Great nations are speechless.

The developed World is suddenly on its knees.

Churches,
Mosques,
Great Parks,
Monuments,
Stadiums...
are filled with unfilled vacant spaces.

The busiest places at present were previously the most dreaded:
Hospitals and Cemeteries.

The famous Football Leagues,
the Fashion Shows,
Exotic Weddings,
Festivals...
all lost to memory.

Celebrities have run out of celebrations.

Our titles,
Statuses,
Privileged Positions
are stale and are no longer major attractions.

With all of our 'citizenship' badges
we cannot step out of our houses.

With all our savings in gold and cash,
we can only buy food to eat.

We grew accustomed to animals in cages,
now animals roam our empty streets,
observing us in our 'cages'.

With our expensive clothes and shoes,
and vanity...
our house clothes and pyjamas are the latest fashion.

AND despite all these 'oddities'...
the World still goes on;
the sun still shines;
and the birds still sing.

When this long night is finally over
and a new day dawns,
let us not forget the lesson of the long night -
that the only essential is LIFE,
the rest are but dispensable prefixes and suffixes -
BUSY EMPTINESS.

ONLY GOD REMAINS THE MOST POWERFUL, OMNIPOTENT & OMNIPRESENT component.."
