I could list all the atrocities faced in life, and when I say life, I mean here in Australia, but what purpose would that serve, except to focus on stuff that is better forgotten. What's more empowering than the atrocities faced, is one's ability to rise from them. That way, those desiring to press you down and keep you down, won't get that satisfaction of knowing that their attempts have failed dismally.
Regardless of what we've gone through, and I'm not talking about minor happenings - I'm talking about major happenings - regardless of these, while they may knock us down (oh, yeah - they sure do that!), they certainly can't knock us out. We were born to survive, to endure, to RISE ABOVE. While that may seem almost impossible to do, let's remember that things can only get better and the only direction we can move in after being knocked down, is UP!
The knowledge that He will never leave us nor forsake us, and the knowledge that while He's there above to look after us, no one can break us or steal our joy - is empowering, enriching and inspiring! Let's keep on PRESSING on... and run this race the only way we know how - with class, style, dignity, integrity, dedication, determination and empowerment!
